ThriveScholarship

Beginning in 2022, Thrive Karen started offering the ThriveScholarship to allow students from Myanmar who have reached the end of their education in their village to continue their education in Thailand. These schools are just over the border from Myanmar and attract students from all over the Karen State and parts of Thailand. These students often come from families with little to no income and often struggle to pay the school fees. Tuition at the learning center is around $100 and boarding fees are around $150. For only $250, we are able to fund tuition and food for a child for an entire year. Thanks to generous donations, we were able to fully fund four migrant students in March of 2022. It is our hope to raise additional funds each year to continue this scholarship and provide the hope for the future these students are working so hard to achieve.
